It has been 100 years since snow fell in Galveston County on Christmas Day! We rarely see a hard freeze more than two days out of each winter. Below are pictures of this rare event from our home in Santa Fe, Texas! Hope everyone had a great holiday season.

Preparing my December chili pepper crops for the rare cold blast.

My wife Barbara and our two dogs Christmas Eve.

Snow falling on my crops.

Ho, Ho, WHOA! Santa got a little frost bit!

Another shot of snow in the field. Had to get the craftsman put up (they have a hard enough time running)!

Our red wolf with her reindeer horns on.

Me and Dixie Doo.

Puria covered in snow.

My wife and I built us a "Chili Farmer" snowman!

How bout a hot purira snowman?

Colorful Puriras made a nice base.

I measured the snow fall at the openings of all my out buildings.

Our lonely Christmas Turkey waiting for us to quit playing in the snow and start cooking!!
